Job Title:  Cardiovascular Rad Tech
Location: LA, 70816

Pay Rate: $62/hr (W2)
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Monday to Friday (6:30 AM – 3:00 PM) or four days a week (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
Shift Type: 8- or 10-hour shifts depending on operational needs

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Cath Lab environment

Education Requirements:

  • Completion of an approved radiologic technology program

Certifications:

  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) registration
  • Unrestricted current license in the state of practice
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

  • Proficient in the use of computers, software, and web-based systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional presentation of information
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and on-call duties
  • Ability to travel within and between healthcare facilities

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Verify physician orders and procedures to ensure accuracy
  • Operate radiology information systems to support patient care
  • Explain procedures clearly to patients
  • Operate imaging equipment independently following established protocols (may include placement of NG tubes, IVs, catheters, and administering contrast)
  • Review images to confirm diagnostic quality prior to transmission
  • Conduct and document quality control checks per regulatory standards
  • Assist in departmental operations (inventory, schedules, maintenance, etc.)
  • Demonstrate patient-centered behavior, respecting privacy, communication preferences, and consent
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Additional Requirements:
  • On-call responsibilities (8–10 shifts per month)
