Position Overview
- We are seeking an experienced Drafter to support Engineering and Operations by developing, updating, and maintaining accurate technical drawings for pipeline and facility assets.
- The ideal candidate will have strong AutoCAD experience, multi-discipline drafting expertise, and the ability to interpret field data, redlines, and project inputs into compliant design documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, update, and maintain engineering drawings across mechanical, piping, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines.
- Translate engineering concepts, project deliverables, and field redlines into accurate CAD drawings.
- Review and incorporate site markups, photos, and as-built information into final drawings.
- Ensure drawings comply with applicable drafting standards and industry practices.
- Prepare Issued for Construction (IFC) and As-Built drawing packages.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, field teams, EPCs, vendors, and drafting service providers.
- Maintain drawing control, revision history, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Interpret incomplete or evolving information and resolve drawing discrepancies.
- Support accurate Process Safety Information (PSI) and overall project execution.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of drafting experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Experience working across multiple engineering disciplines, including:
- Mechanical
- Piping
- Electrical
- Instrumentation
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Experience developing and updating:
- P&IDs
- Plot plans
- Facility layouts
- Equipment drawings
- Ability to interpret field redlines, site photos, and project documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a remote/distributed environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with pipeline and facility projects.
- Experience working with engineering drawing standards and systems such as LPDMS.
- Knowledge of pipeline and facility operations.
- Familiarity with instrumentation, control systems, and equipment tagging conventions.
- Experience with Revit is a plus.
