Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform hands-on environmental stress screening, including thermal, vibration, and pressure testing on flight hardware following company procedures.
  • Assist with the setup, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of test equipment, such as vibration tables, thermal chambers, pressure systems, and data acquisition (DAQ) systems, including pressure transducers (PTs), thermocouples (TCs), voltage and current sensors, and mass flow meters.
  • Collaborate with test engineers and coordinate with management on daily test activities.
  • Maintain equipment, workspaces, and machines following 5S standards and maintenance programs.
  • Operate high-paced test systems safely and efficiently.
  • Manage multiple test projects simultaneously while ensuring adherence to operational schedules.
  • Set up test configurations, fixtures, and instrumentation per test plans and industry standards.
  • Identify, communicate, and mitigate cost, schedule, and technical risks.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in environmental testing or expertise in vibration, shock, or specification performance testing.
  • High school diploma or GED with 5-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including prioritization, scheduling, and status reporting.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable in ambiguous situations, and able to foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and test processes, including test procedures and protocols.
  • Familiarity with data acquisition systems, data analysis, and processing techniques.
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, shop orders, and work instructions.
  • Hands-on experience with electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic test equipment.
  • Proficiency in software systems, databases, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Physical ability to climb ladders and stairs and lift up to 50 lbs. for short durations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or technical certification in a relevant field.
  • Experience in designing and fabricating test equipment, from engineering development to manufacturing implementation.
  • Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems, Non-Conformance Systems, ticketing systems, and order scheduling tools.
  • Hands-on experience with maintaining and using calibrated test equipment.
  • Knowledge of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and various fittings.
  • Ability to install and operate test instrumentation and control components, such as pressure transducers, thermocouples, RTDs, strain gauges, accelerometers, flow meters, load cells, relays, and solenoid valves.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.
  • Experience with National Instruments, Dewesoft, or Arduino-based systems (LabVIEW/TestStand).
