Job Description

Our client, a leading clinical-stage gene therapy company committed to developing life-saving medicines for genetic diseases, is seeking a Services Coordinator, Laboratory Operations to join their team in Research Triangle Park (Durham), NC. The Services Coordinator will assist in managing equipment service and records within the company’s laboratories.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a planner/scheduler to track laboratory equipment lifecycle, including onboarding, calibration, maintenance, and decommissioning.

  • Develop work instructions for new and existing laboratory equipment in collaboration with Metrology.

  • Plan and schedule work orders to create detailed schedules guiding work execution.

  • Compile, sort, and enter data into the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

  • Coordinate laboratory equipment service with vendors and internal teams.

  • Maintain a directory of vendors and service resources.

  • Review and correct data deficiencies or errors.

  • Work with lab staff to plan logistics for incoming equipment and assist engineers in reconfiguring lab spaces.

  • Train and escort third-party contractors, vendors, and service providers on-site as needed.

Skills:

  • Laboratory operations, equipment lifecycle management, vendor coordination

  • CMMS, scheduling, database management

  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities

Job Requirements:

  • BS/BA preferred

  • 2-5 years of administrative experience

  • Experience in pharmaceutical, laboratory, or facilities/engineering environments is a plus

  • Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting
