Job Title: Manager, Employee Relations
Location: Clearwater, FL, 33765 
Position Type: Contract (12 months, with possibility of extension)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, Hybrid - WFH 2 days
Pay Rate: $45/hr – $50/hr (W2)

  • Employee Relations Experience is necessary. Training partners to understand and what resources to use progressive discipline.
Job overview:
  • The Employee Relations Manager is a strategic partner responsible for fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performing work environment. 
  • This role focuses on proactive coaching for people leaders, the modernization of ER processes, and the resolution of workplace matters. 
  • This individual will manage case intake across our national footprint, provide coaching to people leaders, and audit existing workflows to identify opportunities for process improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with regional HR Business Partners and line managers to provide expert coaching on progressive discipline, conflict resolution, and corrective action.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for managers focused on leading with empathy, effective documentation, and labor law compliance.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on ER issues, providing balanced perspectives that mitigate risk while supporting business objectives.
  • Evaluate current ER intake and investigation processes to identify bottlenecks; design and implement streamlined, scalable workflows.
  • Conduct thorough, objective investigations into high-level or sensitive complaints
  • Analyze ER trends to proactively identify key areas within the organization and develop targeted intervention plans.

Required Qualifications
  • Experience: 3-5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years dedicated specifically to Employee Relations or Labor Relations in a national or multi-state capacity.

Competencies:
  • Exceptional ability to navigate sensitive conversations with neutrality and empathy.
  • Influential verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting leadership.
  • Project Management: Proven track record of leading process improvement initiatives from conception to execution.
  • Experience in retail or the professional beauty industry is highly desirable
