Top 3-5 Mandatory Requirements:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Account reconciliation experience
- Cash accounting knowledge
- SAP experience
- Public accounting background
- Month-end close process experience
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
- Minimum of 3+ years of comparable accounting experience
- Supervisory experience required
Primary responsibilities include oversight of Capital Payables processing and Capital Project Accounting across all Client's brands, ensuring timely and accurate recording of fixed asset additions.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the processing of capital invoices, including use tax and construction retainer accruals.
- Track capital project statuses and completion dates.
- Ensure proper asset creation, including compliance with corporate capital policy, correct asset classification, and accurate depreciable life assignment.
- Support asset under construction balances and capital inventory.
- Collaborate with project managers to track bulk capital purchases and deployments.
- Perform monthly closing activities: capital accruals, depreciation accruals, operational vs. capital expense reclassifications, project settlements, and capitalized labor postings.
- Review expense accounts for mis-postings and troubleshoot discrepancies in fixtures inventory.
- Train and develop direct reports.
- Provide support to internal stakeholders and external entities (e.g., auditors, vendors).
- Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts in compliance with control deadlines.
- Assist with additional responsibilities and special projects as directed.
- Strong accounting knowledge
- Understanding of automated & manual controls and segregation of duties
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and SAP
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities
- Self-starter with a proactive approach to solving problems and identifying opportunities.
- Ability to initiate and successfully achieve both personal and business goals.
- Sound business decision-making capabilities.
- Willingness to challenge processes and seek continuous improvement.
- Effective time management to accomplish administrative tasks efficiently.
- Hybrid work arrangement (2 days in-office per week)
- Flexible hourly rate based on skills and experience
- Temporary role to cover maternity leave, with a duration of 16-18 weeks
