Job Title: IT Support Engineer
Position Type: Part-Time / On-site
Location: San Diego, CA or Seattle, WA
Salary Range: $38/hour
Job Description:
We are seeking a hands-on and experienced IT Support Engineer to join our global IT operations team on a part-time, on-site basis. In this role, you will support end-user technology and infrastructure across warehouse and logistics functions. You’ll work closely with warehouse staff and cross-functional teams to ensure technology is up and running smoothly, particularly during onboarding and key operational periods.
This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the fast-paced environment of a globally expanding business, with a strong focus on real-time problem-solving and high-impact IT service delivery.
Responsibilities:
Technical Support & Operations
Provide Level 1/2 support for laptops, desktops, Zebra printers, mobile devices, and other hardware
Troubleshoot workstation, software, and logistics system issues
Support associates in day-to-day operations and use of warehouse tools
Document IT support procedures and contribute to knowledge base
Participate in scheduled support rotations as needed
Infrastructure & Network Support
Assist in maintaining secure, reliable local network infrastructure (LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN)
Perform basic configuration and troubleshooting of switches, routers, and wireless access points
Coordinate with other IT teams for system escalations and infrastructure needs
Security & Maintenance
Ensure compliance with IT security and operational protocols
Support device updates, system patching, and access control policies
Conduct regular equipment checks and assist with inventory tracking
Requirements:
Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field; Master’s a plus.
4+ years in IT support/infrastructure roles in enterprise or logistics settings.
Solid knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem, and Service Level Management).
Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Fluent in English (spoken and written).
