Job Overview:

As a Mechanical Engineer and Technical Project Manager, you will oversee the entire product development cycle from requirements to delivery. You will lead projects, design mechanical systems, and ensure that all products meet quality and agreed-upon standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Client and Team Collaboration:

  1. Serve as the primary technical contact for clients, organizing and leading both in-person and online meetings to gather client requirements, guide development discussions, and present DFM (Design for Manufacturability) insights.
  2. Act as a key technical member within the internal R&D team, communicating, planning, and driving the development process.
  3. Provide parallel support and manage other related collaborative projects.

Project Management and Design:

  1. Oversee, guide, and assist in all stages of NPI (New Product Introduction) product development, including design, development, manufacturing, assembly, verification, debugging, and delivery.
  2. Design and develop mechanical and electromechanical systems.
  3. Collaborate with clients to design and develop FCT/ICT test fixtures and related customized semi- automated/automated electromechanical assembly and testing equipment, including detailed design documentation and engineering drawings.
  4. Conduct initial validations on-site at the U.S. client’s location
  5. Lead and conduct DOE (Design of Experiments) to resolve issues encountered during NPI phases, optimizing designs from functional implementation, user experience, quality assurance, and cost improvement perspectives
  6. Contribute to the creation of various design and development documentation.

Quality Assurance and Reporting:

  1. Participate in constructing quality and shipment inspection processes to ensure products meet quality and contractual standards.
  2. Prepare or review detailed shipment reports through the collection, analysis, and summary of engineering data.

Budget and Scope Management:

  1. Assess project scope and objectives, coordinate with all relevant stakeholders to ensure technical and cost feasibility
  2. Prepare detailed project budgets and timelines

Operations Management:

  1. Maintain production equipment at the U.S. facility through coordination of maintenance and repair services, ensuring operators adhere to standard procedures
  2. Train and guide technical sta[, providing technical guidance for mass production processes 
  3. Set technical requirements for vendors, and communicate and provide support as needed
 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in mechanical design and waterfall project management, with proficiency in selecting various FA (Factory Automation) standard components.
  • Proficient in CAD software, tolerance analysis, finite element analysis, materials science, FMEA (Failure Modes and E[ects Analysis), and DOE methods.
  • Ability to think independently, self-learn, and willingly solve problems.
  • Strong sense of responsibility with excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving skills, and team collaboration spirit.
  • High stress tolerance, adaptability to a fast-paced work environment, and good self-management of schedules.
  • Experience in designing FCT/ICT testing or FA non-standard automated machinery/equipment is a plus
