As a Quality Specialist, your main responsibility will be to review traceability and pedigree documentation for legacy hardware—this means ensuring all parts and components used in the spacecraft meet proper standards and compliance requirements. This is a hands-on documentation-focused quality assurance role in a fast-paced aerospace environment, with a strong focus on accuracy, compliance, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Reviewing documentation that tracks the history and origin of hardware components (traceability and pedigree).
Verifying that all parts meet required aerospace compliance standards.
Identifying discrepancies or missing documentation, and working with internal teams or suppliers to resolve them.
Collaborating with engineering, supplier quality, and procurement teams.
Attending regular project meetings and providing updates.
Creating and presenting reports on findings and recommendations for quality improvements.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
3–5+ years of experience in quality, compliance, or documentation roles—preferably in aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated industries.
Prior work in hardware traceability and pedigree review is essential.
Strong attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and organizational skills.
Strong computer literacy—comfortable using digital tools to track, document, and communicate findings.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work across departments.
Ability to learn quickly, adapt to new processes, and contribute to improvements.
Tools, Technologies, and Certifications (Nice to Have):
Familiarity with PLM systems, Excel/Sheets, or aerospace-specific documentation tools.
Certifications like ASQ, Six Sigma, or training in aerospace compliance standards are a plus but not mandatory.
