Sr. Network Engineer(New York)

New York - Full Time

You Will
  • Participate in network design, build-up, and operations for both trading networks and data center networks.
  • Optimize network performance, availability, and routing paths.
  • Handle network migrations, relocations, and testing for co-locations and data centers.
  • Troubleshoot server network-related issues mainly in Linux environments, such as TCP kernel fine-tuning, traffic monitoring, and so on.
  • Continuously improve the quality of existing networks, explore ultra-low latency
  • technologies, and keep up with the latest trends in the industry.

About You
  • 5+ years of experience in networking, with a Bachelor's degree or above in computer science, engineering, or related majors.
  • Familiar with common Layer 2 and Layer 3 network protocols (VRRP, STP).
  • Expert-level knowledge in OSPF, BGP, and Multicast.
  • Good understanding of Layer 1 and Layer 1.5 switching technologies, as well as PTP and its implementation.
  • Experience in high-availability and low-latency network design within the financial industry.
  • Hands-on experience in network automation and NetDevOps, ideally with real-world projects developing network monitoring and operational systems from scratch.
  • Familiar with underlay-overlay network architectures in large-scale data centers.
  • Proficient in configuring mainstream network equipment vendors’ platforms.
Bonus Points
  • Hands-on experience with LibreNMS, Zabbix, Prometheus, and Grafana.
  • Familiarity with traffic monitoring tools such as Pingmesh, Telemetry, and In-band Network Telemetry (INT).
  • Background in major internet companies or financial sectors managing large-scale BGP network architectures.
  • CCIE or HCIE certification.
