QA Engineer

Role Summary
We’re hiring a QA professional to help improve the product quality and user experience of an international e-commerce platform. This role covers both mobile and web testing, with a stronger focus on mobile client experience and UI/UX quality, while also supporting backend API validation and cross-team issue resolution. You’ll work with domestic and international stakeholders to analyze user feedback, reproduce issues, identify root causes, and drive fixes to completion.
Key Responsibilities
Ticket & bad-case analysis: Review international e-commerce feedback tickets and “bad cases,” perform classification/tagging, analyze trends, and summarize common and representative issues.
UI/UX-focused testing (mobile & web): Validate end-to-end user flows and product experience, identify usability and interaction issues, and provide actionable reproduction steps and evidence (screenshots/video/logs).
Issue reproduction & deep-dive: Follow up on product experience issues, reproduce them reliably, collaborate with business/product/engineering teams to understand business logic, and help drive resolution.
Backend/API testing support: Validate backend behavior through API testing (request/response checks, edge cases, error handling) and cross-verify with client-side experience.
Cross-functional coordination: Work efficiently with both domestic and international teams to accelerate issue triage, root-cause analysis, and solution rollout.
Performance testing: Maintain and execute performance test cases for consumer and merchant platforms (mobile/web), analyze results, produce reports, and propose optimization suggestions.
Minimum Qualifications (Must-Haves)
Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
English/Chinese bilingual ability, including reading and writing for cross-team collaboration with China-based teams and for documentation.
Experience or strong foundation in QA/testing for consumer-facing products; strong ability in problem discovery, triage, reproduction, and communication.
Strong attention to detail and a product mindset; able to proactively identify product improvement opportunities.
Strong coordination and collaboration skills across functions and time zones.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves)
E-commerce QA/testing experience (payments, orders, checkout, promotions, merchant tooling, etc.).
Mobile testing experience (iOS/Android), especially around UI/UX quality and complex user flows.
Familiarity with web automation tools such as Selenium or Playwright.
Familiarity with mobile automation tools such as Appium.
Basic scripting/coding ability in Python to write or maintain testing scripts/tools.
Experience with API testing tools/workflows (e.g., Postman or equivalent), plus understanding of HTTP, JSON, status codes, and error handling.
Experience producing QA reports (defect summaries, trend analysis, performance findings) with clear recommendations.
