We are a staffing agency hiring on behalf of a global logistics and technology leader looking for an HR Specialist to support employee relations, onboarding/offboarding, and internal transitions. This is a contract opportunity based in Fontana, CA, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, international environment.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations
Serve as a go-to resource for employee concerns, policy clarification, and workplace issues.
Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture through open communication and trust-building.
Onboarding & Offboarding
Design and manage smooth onboarding processes to ensure new hires feel welcomed and prepared.
Coordinate offboarding logistics, including exit interviews, return of assets, and system offboarding.
Internal Mobility
Oversee internal transfers and promotions, ensuring policy compliance and smooth transitions.
Collaborate with managers to evaluate readiness and support paperwork and communications.
HR Compliance & Data
Ensure all HR practices comply with local labor laws in the US, Canada, and Mexico.
Keep up with evolving employment laws and help update company policies accordingly.
Maintain accurate employee records and generate reports for leadership as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
2+ years of HR experience, ideally focused on employee relations and onboarding/offboarding.
Familiarity with employment regulations in the US, Canada, and Mexico.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive matters discreetly.
Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple HR processes simultaneously.
