Shift Details: Days per week: (4) Friday 3p-11p, Saturday7:30a-7:30p, Sunday 7:30a-7:30p, Monday 3p-11p (additional time may be available)weekend/evenings

Gross Pay Rate:
$71/hr

Siemens Magnetom Sola 1.5T software platform XA51
Siemens Magnetom Vida 3T software platform XA51

Job Description:
Duties:
  • Position patient on examining table and place specified coil (receiver) such as head coil or knee coil close to area of interest, following protocols requested by Radiologist
  • Demonstrate use of microphone that allows patient and technologist to communicate during examination
  • Enter data such as patient history, anatomical area to be scanned, orientation specified, and position of entry into aperture of MRI equipment into computer
  • Key commands to specify scan sequences and adjust transmitters and receivers into computer
  • Observe patient through window of control room and on closed circuit TV to monitor safety and comfort
  • View images of areas being scanned on video display screen to ensure quality of pictures
  • Key in data on keyboard of camera to photograph images
  • Alert staff entering magnet room to the danger of wearing or carrying metal around magnet
  • Other duties as assigned
The main skills needed are as follows:
  • Siemens experience/knowledge
  • IV certified and experienced
  • Self driven/motivated technologist
  • Available nights and weekends
  • 1-3 years’ experience as MRI Technician
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel
  • Ability to read and interpret documents
  • Ability to work independently
Education:
  • Graduate of Accredited Radiology Program
  • NJ State RT License
  • MR Certified
  • BLS Certification
