Salary Rate: $30–33/hour
Job Description
We are seeking a motivated Engineering Technician to provide technical and maintenance support at the station level. This role involves assisting with engineering projects, supporting maintenance programs, and driving process improvements through data analysis and root cause investigations. The ideal candidate will work closely with station engineers to ensure compliance with industry standards and contribute to condition-based and predictive maintenance initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and identify process improvement opportunities through incident investigations and root cause analysis
- Support fleet-wide compliance efforts and maintenance standards
- Assist Station Engineer with capital projects and CBM (Condition-Based Maintenance) / PdM (Predictive Maintenance) programs
- Support station maintenance activities and evaluations
- Participate in station programs such as R-Stamp, ASR/GADS, and vibration analysis
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents
- Perform engineering calculations and data analysis using tools such as Excel
- Collaborate effectively in team environments as well as independently
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of engineering theories and principles
- Understanding of engineering techniques and practices across related disciplines
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including technical writing
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in engineering-related software/tools
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Familiarity with ASME codes, regulations, and industry practices
- Ability to read and interpret station drawings
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Strong planning, organizational, and project management skills
- Effective decision-making skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical principles
- Understanding of rotating equipment and CBM programs
- Experience with SAP
Education
- Minimum High School Diploma required
