Position Overview:
This role provides hands-on tactical and technical support to Engineering, Production, and Manufacturing teams. Key responsibilities include the design, testing, modification, assembly, and troubleshooting of prototype electromechanical systems, experimental circuitry, photonics, and specialized test equipment. Work is guided by schematics, diagrams, written/verbal instructions, or predefined plans. You’ll perform operational tests, fault isolation, and support design and construction of test hardware, utilizing tools such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, and diagnostic equipment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Integrate, test, and troubleshoot cryogenic valves and systems actuated by hydraulic and pneumatic controls.

  • Perform inspection, maintenance, and repair of components at the intermediate and depot levels.

  • Collaborate with engineers to evaluate and improve design concepts, test hardware, and tooling.

  • Follow and enhance work instructions for complex mechanical installations.

  • Safely operate and maintain chemical and high-pressure systems.

  • Execute tasks safely, on time, and professionally in a fast-paced environment.

  • Promote innovation and process improvements to increase operational efficiency.

  • Manage inventory of parts and tools used in valve system assembly, testing, and maintenance.

  • Support extended hours as needed for integration or test campaigns.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in aerospace, aircraft, R&D, or related technical fields.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs., and operate lifting machinery for heavier items.

  • Reliable, with a strong work ethic and ability to meet performance expectations.

  • Skilled in interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation.

  • Physically able to climb ladders and stairs.

  • Availability to work a Monday–Thursday shift (5:00 AM – 3:30 PM).

  • Proficiency in verbal/written communication and software tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, databases).

  • Demonstrates trustworthiness, professionalism, and supports a culture of inclusion.
