Job Title: Planner/Scheduler
Location: Research Triangle Park, NC 27709
Duration: 12 months with possible extension
Pay rate: $32/hr. on W2


Position Overview:
  • The Planner Scheduler is responsible for developing, coordinating, and maintaining project schedules to ensure efficient resource allocation and timely completion of tasks. This role serves as a critical link between project managers, engineers, and operations teams, ensuring that all activities are planned, tracked, and executed according to organizational goals.
     
Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop, update, and maintain detailed project schedules using scheduling software (CMMS, Microsoft Project, etc.)
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to gather input and align schedules with project objectives.
  • Monitor progress against baseline schedules, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Prepare and distribute regular schedule reports, dashboards, and forecasts to management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation across multiple projects.
  • Support risk management by identifying potential delays and proposing mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records of schedule changes, approvals, and updates.
  • Assist in developing work breakdown structures (WBS) and project timelines.
  • Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to align material deliveries with project schedules.

Minimum Requirement:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience (3–5 years) in project planning and scheduling within biotech, manufacturing, or related industries.
  • Proficiency in scheduling tools such as CMMS, MS Project, or equivalent.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work across teams.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies (PMI, Agile, Lean) is a plus.

  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong time management and prioritization abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
