Position Overview
The Brand Engagement Manager I plays a key role in amplifying brand visibility, managing daily press relationships, coordinating product mailings, and supporting high-impact earned media campaigns.
This role will support the design and execution of forward-thinking, fully integrated PR and social campaigns in close collaboration with the broader brand engagement team. The ideal candidate is a passionate, creative, and strategic communications professional who thrives at the intersection of storytelling, culture, and commerce and can translate a brand's personality effectively across earned media activations.
Public Relations
- Execute comprehensive, strategic PR and brand partnership programs supporting product launches, key brand initiatives, and community efforts.
- Assist with the execution of press events, product launches, press previews, and influencer trips.
- Manage relationships with external PR agencies, brand partners, and media contacts, maintaining open and consistent communication.
- Liaise with internal and external teams to ensure on-brand execution of product launches, press events, and brand initiatives.
- Support internal press opportunities.
- Manage agency invoices, budget tracking, PR closet inventory, and general department coordination.
Analytics, Reporting & Budget
- Monitor and analyze web analytics dashboards, social reporting tools, and earned media metrics.
- Translate data into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Compile weekly and campaign-specific coverage reports and clipping highlights.
- Track Earned Media Value (EMV) metrics.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in PR, communications, or influencer marketing.
- Demonstrated success managing PR campaigns for consumer-facing brands.
- Established network in press, influencers, events, social media, and the beauty industry.
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative thinker with strong attention to detail and project management skills.
- Proficiency in PR monitoring tools such as Cision and Launchmetrics, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
- Beauty or luxury fashion experience preferred.
- Knowledge of the fragrance industry and competitor landscape strongly preferred.
