Job Title: Engineering Technician
Position Type: Contract (12 months, with possible extension)
Location: Front Royal, VA, 22630
Pay Rate: $30/hr – $32/hr (W2)

Job Summary
We are seeking a Technical Specialist to support power generation operations within a non-nuclear energy facility. This role involves providing technical support, improving processes, and assisting with maintenance, compliance, and engineering initiatives across the plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and identify process improvement opportunities through incident investigations, root cause analysis, and industry best practices
  • Support compliance initiatives and maintenance standards across the facility
  • Assist with capital projects, condition-based maintenance (CBM), and predictive maintenance (PdM) programs
  • Support day-to-day plant maintenance activities
  • Participate in various plant programs such as vibration analysis, performance tracking, and reliability initiatives
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Basic understanding of engineering principles and theories
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including technical documentation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (especially Excel) and general computer applications
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation
  • Familiarity with engineering codes, standards, and regulatory practices
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Strong organizational, planning, and multitasking skills
  • Good decision-making and time management abilities
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of mechanical or electrical systems, including rotating equipment
  • Familiarity with condition-based or predictive maintenance programs
  • Experience with enterprise systems such as SAP
Education Requirements
  • Minimum of High School Diploma (technical training or higher education preferred)
