Title: Payroll Specialist/Admin
Location: Sunnyvale, CA (Onsite)
Contract: 6+ Months with Possible extension

Job Description

Duties:
  •  Process bi-weekly payroll for 150 employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  •  Maintain and update payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in
  • HRIS and Payroll management.
  •  Assist in transitioning from the existing Payroll software and implementing the new
  • system.
  •  Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, as well as company
  • policies.
  •  Prepare and review payroll reports, including tax filings, garnishments, benefits
  • deductions, and other withholdings.
  •  Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to reconcile payroll data and resolve
  • discrepancies.
  •  Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and related matters in a
  • timely and professional manner.
  •  Manage year-end payroll processes, including W-2 and 1099 preparation and
  • distribution.
  •  Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
  •  Support internal and external audits by providing payroll-related documentation and
  • reports as needed.

Requirement:
  •  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field is
  • preferred.
  •  5-7 years of experience in payroll administration, preferably in a multi-state
  • environment.
  •  Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paycom, Paylocity, Paychex) and advanced
  • knowledge of Excel.
  •  Comprehensive understanding of payroll laws, regulations, and tax compliance.
  •  Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  •  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  •  Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is a plus.
