We are currently hiring Equipment Technicians for an exciting opportunity with a leading advanced manufacturing organization in Jeffersonville, Indiana. This is an on-site position supporting manufacturing operations in a high-volume production environment.
Job Summary
The Equipment Technician will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and supporting manufacturing equipment during an assigned shift. The successful candidate will help ensure equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably to support production targets and minimize downtime.
This position is ideal for a hands-on technician with experience working with manufacturing machinery and a strong interest in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on manufacturing equipment.
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and identify root causes to implement effective solutions.
- Monitor equipment operation throughout the shift and respond promptly to equipment issues.
- Make necessary equipment adjustments to maintain production efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Work closely with production and process teams to resolve equipment-related issues.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, repairs, and corrective actions.
- Prepare shift reports and communicate equipment status and outstanding issues during shift handovers.
- Follow established maintenance procedures, safety requirements, and operational protocols.
- Assist with the installation, setup, calibration, upgrades, and modifications of new or existing equipment.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve equipment performance and reliability.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Perform other equipment maintenance and support duties as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Associate's degree or vocational/technical training in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant hands-on experience may be considered in place of formal education.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in equipment maintenance, equipment engineering, manufacturing maintenance, or a related technical environment preferred.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing equipment.
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment is highly preferred.
- Experience with equipment used in solar cell, semiconductor, electronics, or other advanced manufacturing environments is an asset.
- Familiarity with equipment such as screen printers, diffusion furnaces, wet benches, PECVD systems, or similar production equipment is highly desirable.
- Ability to work assigned shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, or other non-standard hours as required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with production, engineering, and cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with maintenance management systems/software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety, quality, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement.
