Responsibilities:
- Build and improve the local warehousing system and operational processes. Oversee daily warehouse management and operations, including sorting, pickup, dispatching, and related tasks.
- Forecast warehouse and staffing needs, plan driver routes, and recruit and interview drivers.
- Assign responsibilities to frontline warehouse employees and outsourced staff, while strengthening team cohesion.
- Resolve daily operational issues in the warehouse in a timely manner. Become proficient in using the company's warehouse and delivery software, perform basic computer operations, process data, communicate with customers, manage system data, generate daily pickup tasks, and review and assign them to the dispatch team.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure proper allocation of driver resources. Handle unexpected situations such as vehicle breakdowns or temporary driver absences. Maintain close communication with third parties, promptly communicate task changes, answer drivers' questions during pickup and delivery, and ensure drivers understand and execute assigned tasks properly.
- Handle issues and complaints by tracking pickup and delivery exceptions, such as delays or missed pickups. Communicate with customers as well as internal and external teams to drive solutions and ensure service completion. Record and analyze frequent operational issues and propose optimization suggestions.
- Fluent in English, Mandarin is preferred. Must have valid legal work authorization. Proficient in Excel and able to use data analysis tools for data processing and analysis.
- Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with dispatch, drivers, warehouse, customer service, and other teams to ensure smooth and efficient pickup operations. Able to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks at the same time, and maintain a professional attitude. Strong phone and email communication skills are required. Customer service experience is preferred. Warehouse or logistics experience is preferred.
- The specialist position does not require many years of work experience. As long as you are detail-oriented, responsible, and have good communication skills, this role could be a strong fit.
