Job Title: Bilingual Financial Controller
Location: Los Angeles, California, On-Site
Salary: $100,000 - $125,000 annually + Benefits

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller with a strong operations background and fluency in both English and Chinese/Cantonese for effective communication with clients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing strategic financial guidance. This role requires a professional who can manage the company’s financial operations while liaising with clients, vendors, and internal teams, particularly in operations management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Prepare financial reports, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow analysis on a regular basis.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and maintain internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to align financial objectives with company goals, driving efficiency and profitability.
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Conduct variance analysis to monitor performance against budget and forecast, identifying areas of improvement.
  • Handle tax preparation and liaise with external auditors.
  • Lead financial discussions with clients and stakeholders in both English and Chinese/Cantonese.
  • Provide strategic recommendations based on financial analysis and projections to support business growth.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial management role, with a strong background in operations.
  • Fluency in both English and Chinese/Cantonese (written and spoken) is required for client communications.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Google Sheets and financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar platforms).
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage a team and work cross-functionally with operations and executive teams.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with clients, vendors, and internal teams effectively.
