As a Design Engineer, you will play a critical role in preparing detailed design drawings for various engineering disciplines, including electrical, civil, telecommunication, and gas distribution. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, design consultants, external customers, developers, and permitting agencies to ensure that all designs meet the required standards and are compatible with surrounding developments.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare discipline-specific design drawings (electrical, civil, telecommunication, gas distribution).
- Coordinate with internal teams, design consultants, and external customers to ensure design standards and compatibility
- Issue design packages to construction personnel.
- Analyze customer requests for compliance with codes and standards
- Develop and maintain design standards and processes.
- Prepare Bill of Materials and assist with project close-outs.
- Maintain department records and ensure compliance with all relevant policies and regulations.
Requirements:
- Associate degree in engineering or design with 3 years of relevant experience, or 5 years of related work experience in the design field.
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) and utility industry design standards.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- PCs, AutoCAD, PLS-CADD (Transmission only), MS Office Suite.
- General office setting with no special physical demands.
