Key Responsibilities:
- Manages multiple substation projects, prioritizing work and collaborating with consulting firms and stakeholders.
- Ensures quality control by providing construction support, coordinating with construction forces, and conducting job site inspections.
- Coordinates and communicates with other departments to complete procurement tasks.
- Assists and guides other departments in solving non-standard substation design problems.
- Provides accurate cost estimates for company budgeting to identify cash flow requirements.
- Contributes to the development of detailed project schedules and updates the project management system.
- Ensures compliance with all policies, codes, and regulations.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school in engineering.
Demonstrated knowledge of:
- Fundamental theoretical and practical knowledge in substation/control engineering principals and other phases of engineering.
- Working knowledge of economic analysis methods, budgeting procedures, and company policies, rules and regulations.
- Utility engineering practices and procedures, construction methods and material specifications.
- Oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
