Position Title: Financial Analyst
Duration: 6 Months + (Possible Extension)
Location: Tampa, FL (Hybrid/Onsite)
Pay Rate: $36.32 per hour on W2
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to support financial reporting, data management, and analysis activities within a shared services finance organization. This role is critical in maintaining financial data integrity, supporting reporting infrastructure, and delivering actionable insights to business stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical capabilities, advanced Excel skills, and experience working with large financial datasets.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute and monitor recurring financial reports from SAP to capture real-time Actuals and Commitments.
- Extract, transform, and prepare financial data for reporting and analytics platforms.
- Manage and maintain data repositories to ensure seamless integration with reporting tools.
- Validate data accuracy throughout the ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) process and perform quality assurance checks on financial reporting outputs.
- Perform month-end reconciliations using advanced Excel techniques to ensure accuracy and timely close activities.
- Analyze large and complex financial datasets to identify discrepancies, trends, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Streamline financial reporting workflows and maintain standard operating procedures to support evolving business requirements.
- Ensure continuous availability and accuracy of financial data used by business leaders and budget owners.
- Collaborate with data management teams to maintain reporting stability and resolve data-related issues.
- Partner with master data stakeholders to ensure financial hierarchies, mappings, and reporting structures are accurately maintained.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in corporate finance, financial analysis, accounting, or a related analytical role.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and large dataset management.
- Strong understanding of accounting and financial concepts, including Actuals, Commitments, and reconciliations.
- Experience working with large financial datasets while maintaining high levels of data accuracy and integrity.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve data discrepancies.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and Outlook.
- Experience working with SAP S/4HANA.
- Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence/reporting tools.
- Knowledge of financial data management, reporting automation, and ETL processes.
