Job Position:
Merritt Island, Florida 32953
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up new production work areas, including tooling and equipment.
- Assist in transitioning from development to production, including overseeing first articles.
- Conduct second-party verifications and hardware inspections based on engineering models, drawings, specifications, and procedures.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions, performing necessary modifications, rework, repairs, or maintenance.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, overhead cranes, aerial lifts, and ground support equipment.
- Set up and operate precision calibrated tools, such as torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, laser trackers, and optical measuring instruments.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement projects to enhance safety and efficiency in the work area.
- Perform routine maintenance, including daily cleanup of work areas, to maintain 5S, FOD, and ESD practices.
- Flexibility to work off-shift, overtime, and weekends as required.
- Complete additional duties as necessary to support team goals and contribute to the overall mission.
- Collaborate with a diverse team of professionals from various fields and backgrounds.

Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, integration, or a relevant field.
- Experience with one or more of the following: fluids and tubing installation, instrumentation and electrical harness routing, general aerospace/launch vehicle assembly.
- Proficiency in interpreting engineering models, drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
- Strong collaboration skills in team environments with diverse skills and backgrounds.
- Clear and effective communication, both written and verbal.
- Basic digital literacy, including Windows and Microsoft Office.
- Physical ability to work in restricted spaces, climb ladders, and perform repetitive tasks, including lifting items up to 35 lbs.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Industry certifications, trade school training, or a degree in a related field.
- Proven success as a hands-on technical leader.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
- Continuous improvement mindset and commitment to refining processes.
- Curiosity to understand business operations and optimize processes.
- Experience handling large aerospace components and assembling tight-tolerance structures.
- Experience with new product introductions and Lean Manufacturing environments.
- Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Military experience is a plus.
