 Job Summary The Head of Product is a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, reporting directly to the CEO. The Head of Product is responsible for developing the technology vision for products and services and implementing the roadmap to address two key market segments: B2C (Direct to Consumer) and B2B (Business to Businesses).

 The Head of Product has broad responsibilities
 including Product Development, Product Lifecycle Management, Mobile App, Software, Cloud Services, Technology Infrastructure and Security.

We are seeking an entrepreneurial business leader who is able to not only create a product and services roadmap but also to deliver results with a high degree of effectiveness. A person with a relentless pursuit for delivering exceptional and personalized experiences for customers seeking smart home and business security solutions.
Location: head office, Markham, Ontario

 Duties & Responsibilities:
• Provide a clear vision for Products, Services and Technology roadmap
• Define the cloud services strategy and implement a robust, reliable and scalable solution.
 • Accountable for the Technology budget, including development, technical infrastructure and operations
• Challenge the status quo in terms of consumer experience with Apps and product usability 2
• Enable technical scalability for double digit sales and user-base growth in collaboration with retail and ecommerce channels
• Lead the innovation process in the company in collaboration with Product, Sales, Merchandising and Marketing
• Integrate Product in App experience with an online shopping experience that will keep brand-loyal customers coming back
• Liaise with R&D on key technology initiatives
• Design services that comply with regulatory standards related to privacy and security
 • Lead continuous improvement initiatives. Identify new opportunities, launch new features and functionality to grow engagement and sales that differentiates us from  competitors to achieve financial and business objectives
• Leverage analytics, customer touch points, sales and industry insights to continuously improve the customer journey and ensure customer expectations are exceeded
 • Develop and own the relationship with key suppliers and technology partners while tracking service level agreements with external 3rd party providers
 • Clearly communicate the Technology business results to cross-functional partners and Senior Management, showing the meaning behind the analytics and industry trends
 • Plan and support global expansion while ensuring compliance with local jurisdiction cloud, security and privacy regulations
• Manage and execute multiple strategic projects
• Collaborate with Tech Services to turn end user insights into actionable technology and product improvements.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance on product evaluation and quality improvements through the product development cycle.
• Achieve product revenue goals and collaborate with Sales, Merchandising and Marketing on Go to Market plans
• Partner and grow relationships across the organization including the executive team, internal and external stakeholders
 • Develop staff, motivate, inspire and grow talent with teams in the following key areas: User Experience
 • Accountable for the App roadmap and continuous improvement to user experience via the App
 • Develop the strategy and build the structure for a User Experience focused team to ensure long-term excellence in this area
 • Oversee objectives, development and implementation of User Experience improvements across all areas including App, Hardware, Out of Box,and Services Product Management
• Oversee Product Management categories including : Wired Security, Wireless IoT, and Accessories
 • Lead the execution of the product vision and manage the product life cycle
• Sponsor of the Gating Process for product launches 3 Product Development
 • Provide guidance on Product Strategy and business development opportunities
 • Lead the technology innovation process by methodically reviewing new business opportunities Cloud Technology & Security
 • Oversee cloud technology platform and roadmap and lead implementation of new services and functionality
 • Oversee integration with 3rd party providers
• Oversee Cloud Operational Reporting
 • Define key measures of success and provide transparency into performance through reports and dashboards
 • Implement cyber security and privacy best practices Experience

Requirements
• Post-secondary degree in Engineering, Computer Sciences, Business or equivalent work experience
• MBA is considered an asset
 • 10+ years of post-university work experience, including a minimum of 5+ years leading a business unit with P&L responsibilities
• Prior experience in video surveillance, security, CCTV, networking industries • Proven experience in Cloud Services
• Experience in both direct to consumer (B2C) and business to business (B2B) technology services
 • Experience in retail and eCommerce in the Consumer Electronic industry will be considered an advantage
• Experience managing large scale technology infrastructure that is able to scale during peak seasons (e.g. Black Friday)
 • Prior experience in the IoT (Internet of Things) industry is an asset • Proven experience with cyber security and privacy regulations is an asset
• Have a great product eye and able to lead the prioritization of product categories and models; taking into account limited space, resources, brand priorities
• Proven ability to lead a team, help grow their careers and focus toward company objective
s • Proven ability to build productive business relationships with both internal and external partners
• Proven ability to establish vision and set direction for a team
 • Ability to set the product line up and the company on a course to stay relevant, competitive and sustainable.
• Strong background in data and analytics to enhance digital reporting capabilities 4
• Strong project management skills, including development of timelines, communication of project status, and ability to move projects from concept strategy development through tactical implementation/execution
• Excellent verbal, presentation, and written skills; ability to communicate complex information in an executive format and use data to tell a compelling story
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities; can see a problem from multiple angles and provide viable, innovative options for resolution
• Knowledge of and comfort with a variety of cloud technology environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Knowledge of network technologies (including 5G) and wireless standards
• Specific experience with Shopify, SAP will be considered an advantage
 • Customer experience obsessed
