Are you an early-career engineer looking to build your experience in oil & gas, midstream pipelines, and project development? This is an excellent opportunity to work on projects from concept development through planning, design, cost estimating, risk assessment, scheduling, and pre-execution stages.
🔹 Position Details
- Job Title: Project Engineer I
- Location: Houston, TX
- Duration: 12 Months
- Experience: 0–3 years
- Degree: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering — Required
- Industry: Oil & Gas / Midstream / Pipeline
- Travel: Up to 10%
- Interview: 1 round; in-person preferred
🔹 Key Responsibilities
- Support project planning, engineering design, cost estimating, risk assessment, and schedule development.
- Coordinate with stakeholders and support the identification of regulatory requirements.
- Assist with front-end engineering and design activities.
- Develop project cost estimates and schedules, including risk and uncertainty assessments.
- Support development of project charters ranging from Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) through Class 3 estimates.
- Prepare project management reports and communicate project status to senior management and stakeholders.
- Support projects through development toward sanction and execution.
🔹 Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor's degree in any Engineering discipline.
- 0–3 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in midstream, pipeline, oil & gas, construction, engineering design, or project development.
- Exposure to developing pipeline project costs and schedules.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Candidates with Project Development experience are highly preferred.
🔹 Work Arrangement
- Initial 6 weeks: Onsite, 5 days/week
- After 6 weeks: Monday, Tuesday & Thursday onsite; Wednesday & Friday remote
- Office-based role with occasional travel to operating facilities, construction sites, supplier facilities, or other company locations.
