Job Description:
We are seeking a Backend Software Engineer with strong infrastructure and cloud deployment experience to join our team at the forefront of AI-driven customer engagement. In this role, you’ll help us redefine how businesses interact with customers by building the backend systems and deployment pipelines that power real-time, personalized AI agent interactions.
You will play a key role in designing and maintaining scalable infrastructure across GCP, enabling secure, containerized, and high-performance systems that support our AI platform in production.
Responsibilities- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services for AI-driven customer engagement.
- Develop secure and efficient CI/CD pipelines for real-time deployment of AI features and updates.
- Implement and optimize containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Collaborate with AI engineers to deploy, serve, and monitor LLMs and related models in production environments.
- Ensure systems meet high availability and data security standards, especially in customer-facing environments.
- Identify opportunities to automate, optimize, and scale infrastructure across environments (dev/stage/prod).
- Participate in infrastructure decisions, including Terraform module design and cloud architecture reviews.
5+ years of experience in backend software development, with a focus on cloud infrastructure and deployment.
Strong GCP experience, including GKE, IAM, Cloud Build, Cloud Run, or equivalent services.
Proficient in Python (primary) and Go (secondary), especially for backend service and scripting.
Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) in production.
Familiarity with Terraform, infrastructure-as-code, and cloud resource management.
Understanding of secure deployment practices and least-privilege IAM design.
Experience integrating and serving LLMs or other GenAI models in cloud-based environments is a plus.
Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous, and cross-functional startup environments.
Nice to Have
Experience deploying open-source LLM frameworks (e.g., LlamaIndex, LangChain, vLLM, Ollama, etc.) at scale.
Exposure to observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, GCP Monitoring, Sentry, etc.).
Familiarity with API gateway management, rate-limiting, and edge security best practices.
